David Alexander

David Alexander’s 39 years in the industry have encompassed life/pensions, general and health insurance, as well as reinsurance, in the UK and across Asia.
His most recent executive role was as CEO of the Swiss Reinsurance Company Hong Kong Branch, an operation of 250 people with revenue of >USD500m. This was a regulated role. Prior to that, he was Head of Business Development for Swiss Re in Asia.

David was a Board Member of the Hong Kong Federation of Insurers for 10 years where he was instrumental in shaping the regulatory environment in Hong Kong. During 2018/9, he was Chairman of the General Insurance Council within the HKFI.

David has recently retired from full time executive life and is now undertaking a number of advisory and consulting roles within the industry plus some professional actuarial and voluntary activities.
