Charles Manchester

Charles has over 40 years’ experience in insurance, having worked for MGAs, brokers and insurers, from junior to CEO level, and as an entrepreneur.
Charles is currently:

• Chair, UK Financial Lines & Specialist Liability – Pen Underwriting Limited (which incorporates Manchester Underwriting Management). Pen is a UK MGA and a subsidiary of A J Gallagher
• A member of the supervisory board and a shareholder of a Polish MGA
• Chairman of the Managing General Agents Association, the MGAA

Previously, Charles has been CEO of Manchester Underwriting Management Limited, a UK MGA, CEO of a UK insurer, non-executive director of a UK insurer, active underwriter of a Lloyd’s syndicate as well as founder and Managing Director of Dickson Manchester & Co Ltd, a Lloyd’s broker.
