Martin Ashfield

Martin has worked in the insurance Claims industry since 1986, and after 34 years with an international Insurer, currently works as a freelance Claims Business Consultant.

Initially a Claims Handler dealing with all areas of Property & Casualty claims, he moved into Management and completed his career with the Insurer in a variety of Claims Director roles.

Since 2021, Martin has worked with his own business with a range of Insurance claims companies, supporting on technical and strategic projects and initiatives.

Martin has served on multiple industry Boards and Bodies, including ABI property Group, CII Claims Faculty and the Society of Claims Professionals, as well as twice serving as President of the Bolton Insurance Institute.

Martin has been a regular Conference speaker on a variety of topics, including operational, technical, relationship management and strategic, and in 2022, was the recipient of the Claims Achievement Award at the Claims and Fraud Awards.
