Rachel Hillier

Rachel leads the Financial Services and Insurance team at Capital Law, a law firm with offices in London, Cardiff and Paris. A large part of her work is for the Insurtech sector. She works with some of the most innovative Insurtechs in the UK and internationally, alongside more traditional insurance businesses, and firms who use technology to enhance financial products. With 21 years’ experience in commercial and regulatory law, Rachel leads a well-respected team of lawyers who are focused on giving practical regulatory and insurance law advice.

Her work includes FCA/PRA authorisations and change of control applications, regulatory advice relating to the launch of new products and services, changes to FCA rules, compliance with PRA, FCA rules and EU regulations, cross-border insurance distribution, drafting and negotiating insurance related commercial agreements.

Rachel’s clients include insurers, brokers, MGAs, firms offering tech solutions to the insurance sector as well as brokers, syndicates and coverholders in the Lloyds market.
