Adam Rates

Adam is the Head of IT Strategy and Architecture for Allianz Insurance plc.

Adam has over twenty-five years’ experience in software development. Twenty of these years have been spent in the insurance industry covering a range of IT roles including Commercial and Retail insurance, claims, finance and data. Adam has also been lucky enough to work on a number of M&As as well as the set-up of off-shore development capabilities.

In his current role Adam is responsible for the Allianz UK IT strategy, the solution design quality and technology capabilities of the organisation. – including the introduction of new technologies and provision of new capabilities. Allianz is a global company and Adam is part of a number of international architecture and software teams and advisory groups.

Adam lives in Surrey with his wife and four children some of whom are on the verge of leaving the nest. He hopes.
