Joe Sultana

Joe has held senior positions in both the technology and insurance sectors spanning over 30 years. This has allowed him to develop a unique understanding and insight into the complex business demands of insurance distribution and the opportunities presented by applying modern technology innovation.

Joe began his career at a national high-street insurance brokerage before becoming a founding partner of his own broker business. He subsequently joined the leadership team of tech start-up, Insurecom, culminating in being recognised as a ‘Fast Track’ 100 Company. As part of the leadership team he played a pivotal role in their strategic rethink and future direction, leading to a successful acquisition by Applied Systems, the leading global provider of cloud-based software for the insurance industry. As Managing Director, he led Applied’s UK broker business and oversaw a period of significant growth. Joe then took the newly created Chief Operating Officer position of Applied Systems’ European business overseeing technical delivery and operational functions.

Since 2021, Joe has provided strategic and operational consultancy to technology suppliers and Insurtechs.
