The judges said…”The recipient is responsible for much of how claims are dealt with in the industry today.
He was brought into Lloyd’s in 2002 to lead a team coordinating the market’s management of its exposure to the losses resulting from the 9/11 attacks.
After that, he became the market’s first head of claims following the creation of the franchise team. He was responsible for Lloyd’s first coordinated claims strategy and claims management principles.
In 2005, he joined Hiscox where he spent over 13 years as one of the top names in claims. As their first head of claims, he created a team of more than 250 people that went on to secure great scores across the board in the Insurance Times 5-Star Ratings report.”
